It’s a previsualization realized in the studio, using the company’s digital resource library and equipment to roughly finish a full-length film in advance, playing the same role as storyboard. Rough model and simple animation are used to display the global settings from the actors’ movement, views finding to shooting angle and camera motion, which are used by the director and shooting guide as reference. Digital Visual Previz not only embodies the creativity, but also guarantees the filming and post-production efficiency. Virtual production enables real-time matting, tracking, rendering and compositing and realizes the instant imaging of filming scenes with support from the digital studio and technical personnel’s site visual guidance. During the virtual production, the technical personnel, as required by the screenplay, have preset some post-production processes, simulated the visual effect scenes necessary for the film and composited the later scenes with the site actors using target positioning, so as to create the presetting effect.
